Remarks

College do have, nice reputation, good faculty members and ability to do well. Administration and management is also helpful and approachable. College library is very well equipped with best books on all the required subjects, and surely is one of the best libraries I have ever seen. Having said that, following are few things where college needs to improve as those matters the most to any students.1 - Placement Cell - College placements are centralized with MIT Pune and MAE is not given equal opportunities due to committee politics.2 - Sports Infrastructure - ground facility is small compared to other colleges.3 - Computer Labs - Very slow internet and wifi with worst computer systems in place.

Entrance Preview

I took, Maharashtra state entrance exam (MH CET) and scored 124 (102 in exam and 22 in GDPI) to get admission in this college. I opt for MAE due to its reputation and MIT as a brand name. Moreover I was hopeful to get a campus placement support from the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is pre decided as this college falls under the University of Pune. It has covered almost all the important topics in management, and it is considered to be one of the difficult. Academic curriculum is designed well.

Internships Opportunities

Intern-ship was offered through college to very few students, mostly from Manufacturing and retail industry, and no stipend was paid in return. Most of us joined companies with our own efforts for intern program.

Placement Experience

1

Poor placement opportunities as only 7 out of 58 students got placed. We had a centralized placement procedure along with MIT Pune college. Companies like CCD, ITC, eClerx, HDFC came for placement and mostly for sales profiles. They offered package in the range of 1.8 LPA to 4 LPA. The maximum offer was for 3.8 LPA from TCS which recruited for Analyst positions.

College Events

3

1 College organized a technical competition ROBOCON which was supported by MIT group at a very large scale.2 MAE also celebrates events like Annual Day, Sports competitions and alumni meet etc. 2 MAE arranges two management events per year in which all the big college teams participates every year. This is the biggest event MAE hosts every year and participated by minimum of 15 to 18 colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Free structure in 2008-09 was 65000 a year which one could pay in two instalments or one time. This was raised by 5000 making it 70000 a year in 2009-10. Government educational subsidies and waivers for SC, NT, OBC are available as per Government norms.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does not provide any scholarship scheme of their own, however all the Government scholarships can be applied for and availed. For example for backward classes or non creamy layers populations such as OBC, SC, NT ets.

Campus Life

1.5

Good campus life, not very strict. Normal parties and friends are allowed to come in boys/girls hostel. Regular workshops and cultural events are well organized, moreover students are given freedom to participate in organizing committee. Safe environment for girls around college campus as people also are cooperative and helpful. Gender ratio is 4:6 (G:B). No dirty politics or discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation or economic status. Infrastructure wise, college has nice greenery and fresh environment, posh college buildings/labs/libraries but poor on sports ground.

Hostel Facilities

4

College had two hostel facilities, which I believe were best at the time. All the rooms were on sharing basis and maximum of 3 students were staying in two rooms of hostel. Hostel has enough of rooms to accommodate nearly 50-60 percent of students of college. Hostel fees was around 30,000 a year and concessions were available to eligible students under government norms like for SC, ST, NT, OBC students.PG's are available in nearby area ranging from 1000 to 5000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

All our college seniors were very cooperative and approachable not just within college campus but also outside if any need arises. All the juniors were given nice treatments right from the first day of college. Never had a interaction with alumni outside the college, so can not comment on that.

Exam Structure

College provides enough of breathing space during the two exams. The subject wise tests are regularly conducted, and main exams are the mid term and final exam which is conducted by University of Pune.

Faculty

3

We had total 6 permanent faculty members and some visiting faculty members as well. 2 of our faculty members were of PHD level, and visiting faculties were also experienced from the industry and had a good command over their subjects.Overall very supportive and experieced.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.
