Some of the pros for choosing this college are as follows, Even if you selected a technical subject, you can learn many things outside this. By being a reputed government college, one should be responsible for conducting all important events like a seminar, symposium, many club activities etc, If you are the sort of guy to involve yourself in these activities, I can assure you that you can prevail as a gem after completing the degree of you choose non-technical field. Some of the cons are If you think you want to shine in your Mechanical field, you should put extra effort to outperform in it. You can prepare for some government examinations if you're interested in them. I can give you cent per cent assurance if you prepare for some examinations l, you can really complete the syllabus because there will be a lot of time apart from your academic side.

The main reason for choosing this course is because of its alumni, you can able to attend some internships even in IIT Madras and some other reputed organizations only because of these alumni. The quality of some faculties is appreciable. According to me, the faculties are friendly to you and you can reach them and clarify your doubts but only at a particular time because being a government college, the professors were in need to involve themselves in activities other than academics. And all term exams will get finished before anna university affiliated college completes their exams. And results were also announced pretty fast compared to them.

Some alumni may provide you with an internship on IITs, and some organisations in and around Madurai. You can learn some rudimentary basics when you participate in these interns. And it really sometimes helps you to place in the same company.

The placement records are not in an appreciable manner because of the college location. The HR really feel bad to travel on the way longer to reach our college from Chennai. The technical campus is not to the level of expectation but if you wish you can get placed in the non-technical job if you satisfy the requirements. You can really study for government examination either it can be GATE or TNPSC, it all depends upon your choice.

It is really, the perfect college for middle-class group people because College fees are way lesser than any other college. And so you can enjoy scholarships announced by the government depending upon your community for both college and hostel. I already mentioned that you can get enough time to studying government examinations. I insisted on it because the chance of getting placed on campus is not in an appreciable manner.

The college is famous for its extracurricular activities only. If one wants to get outnumbered on the non-technical side, you can get a 100 per cent chance for that. There will be a yearly symposium for each department which is conducted by final-year students and there you can gain some practical knowledge. And there are many club activities which prevail in and around the college. It really helps the students to get learn some basic understanding of the IT sector and imparts some soft skills. Apart from this, there will be a sports event on a yearly basis and you can participate at the zone level.

You can't expect, the good facilities in the hostel. They mostly accommodate 5 to 8 students per room and it varies depending upon the size of the room. Normally a room contains 3 chairs, tables and 2 or 3 beds if you're lucky. If you expect spicy food in the hostel by thinking of the city name, then you should prepare yourself to give up that idea because here you can't enjoy your meal to the taste you expect but you can take your food as much as you want depending upon the items. The menu can be modified when you report about it to your representative. But I can give you the assurance that you can enjoy your food if you get used to the city hotels. They really provide you with mouth-watering food and you can't really get rid of that taste easily. The registration process is simple they provide you room as soon as you finish your college admission and they provide room on the basis of first cum first basis.
