Remarks

Shri Shikshayatan college is one of the most renowned girls' college under Calcutta University. Students always rank in the whole University Examination. Also the infrastructure of our college is very good as it is private college. We have a beautiful playground whichwe share alongside the Shri Shikshayatan School. Our College's fest 'SRIJAN' is also very popular among other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our College is under Calcutta University. CU has introduced the CREDIT BASED SYSTEM. So our college follows the new system. The faculty is great with excellent and helpful teachers. The extracurricular activities like volleyball, dancing, cricket, table tennis, volunteer works are there in our college. Moreover the academics of our college is great with top rankers. Many well known companies have been coming to our college for campas recruitment.

The campas life is good with lots of activities. There are a clubroom where students of all streams hang out together. Oftentimes we have basketball, volleyball competitions etc. We also participate in other college contents and fests.

Campus Life

Our college has one of best libraries with over 42k books of all streams with new and rare editions also. The books are helpful as we dont need to buy books. The sport facilities are also great as we have a volleyball, basketball ground, which we share with the school ground. The infrastructure of the college is good as it is fully air-conditioned. The classrooms are big with lots of openspace with good studylights. It is fully secured from any kind of potential fire danger.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Good for studying but should improve for recruitment

The application form is available on the college website and every other detail regarding fees and application date is available there.
