Anonymous's Review On North Bengal St. Xavier’s College -[NBXC], Rajganj

Being a Jesuit Christian minority institution in Balai Gaach, Rajganj, North Bengal St. Xavier's is like a server to the host of the St Xavier's family. Its pristine green campus heaves in a space of fresh air and ambience to the students. Alongside, the interactive modern classrooms, a dedicated library and canteen hosts an instrumental role in the academic as well as non-academic curriculum for enhancing the quality of higher education that the college roots for. The beneficent professors and staff members include distinctive advantages for the aspirants and might even ensure a safe journey through the course of honours as well as general courses through an elongated period of time. The widespread infrastructure of the college makes it a gem for students like us of North Bengal to avail quality college exposure homebound.

The syllabus for English Honours followed a pattern of 1+1+1 curriculum, to which students had to read respective literary ages in timeframe of every year. The curriculum was updated by the North Bengal University for utmost exposure to the field of English Literature and Language. Our faculty of six teachers did not leave any stone unturned for imparting diverse knowledge - Prasun Banerjee and Jayjit Sarkar, as per me, were our eminent names from the English Department.

The college always takes a foot ahead for the extracurricular activities because the faculties always encourages us to hustle more than the fixed syllabus. Xtravaganza, Xcellence, Sports Day and Christmas Eve are the four major events the college borne for its bright students. The participation is always austere given that there are several slots to show the inner talent.

The college delves into a skyrocketing infrastructure. The spectacular green field fulfills a large space of the campus and is beautifully covered with flowers and trees. The dedicated central library is an eclectic huge space of both curriculum and non-curriculum materials, which also grants periodicals and journals on monthly basis. The modern classrooms and hi-tech laboratories are furnished with audio visual equipments, unconventional blackboards and integrated tools and equipments for practical purposes respectively.
