CBSE. My rank was 3416 and I had many options including BIT Meshra. I opted for MIT, Manipal as it was one of the best engineering college in South India with a great picturesque location along the Arabian sea.
Course Curriculum Overview
Being an autonomous (deemed) university, MIT has a flexible course curriculum which helps the students a lot. It can introduce new courses which has high demand in the job industry with ease.The electives were very useful. I opted for Financial Management. There were other useful electives like Data Analytic.
Internships Opportunities
Almost all the renowned companies from the IT industry (including Google, Facebook, etc) comes for placement at MIT.I got my intern-ship at Dell Perot Systems and the stipend offered was Rs. 7500 in 2006.

College Events
MIT Manipal celebrates it's annual festival called REVELS. Apart from that there are different clubs that celebrates it's tecnical and cultural festivals. One of them is LEO Club of which I was a member.As part of the MAHE University, MIT also celebrates UTSAV.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a little expensive. Approx. 1.25 lakh is the study fee alone for each year (2 semesters). Plus you need to pay for hostel and Mess.
Campus Life
The campus life is excellent. AsI said the sun never sets on Manipal. The locals are very friendly. Maniipal is a small town that mostly has diffferent colleges like MIT, Kasturba Medical College.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is excellent. The seniors connect very well with their juniors guiding them on their career paths. They also come to the campus for recruitment drives for their companies.
Exam Structure
At MIT Manipal, each semester you have 3 internals (of which best 2 are considered for marking) and 1 external paper. The labs are a must and their marking are very important for the final total of any subject. Yes, overall the days are hectic. But then you have the Manipal evenings and nights where the sun never sets.
Faculty
The faculties were excellent. For example our Software Engineering professor Dr. Srikant Prabhu is an IIT Kharagpur alumnus.Other professors are also from renowned universities and have excellent professional degrees to boost their position and the course they teach at MIT.
