Review of my college

Manipal has its own entrance test. Manipal Institute of Technology, also known as MIT Manipal or Manipaltech is one of the first self-financed colleges of the country. It's a very well known engineering college, best known because of its excellent curriculum. The Mechanical Engineering degree from this college is very well recognized.

Course covered all the subjects which are mandatory also electives like humanities related courses were covered. History and philosophy of technology and intercultural communication were awesome courses.

Lot of companies came for internship. Cerner GE cisco tcs infosys accenture and various other mnc's had come. General stipend was around 20k average.This college also provides various iternships for the students of 2nd year and good opportunities for job for the 3rd year .The placement cell is very good. Various reputed comapnies come every year providing a handsome amount of salary to the students . Various interviews and tests are conducted for this .

Campus placement was held last year and students were provided with satsfying jobs. Package varies from min 3.5 Lacs. The max was amazon and microsoft with packages upto 20 lakhs and least were infosys, tcs and accenture. Placements were 80% of 100 eliglble studends and 20 were interested in higher studies.

The fee structure is expensive . It comes down to almost 20 lakhs for a btech course which is more onto the expensive end but most people can take an educational loan and afford it.

I have no knowledge about the loan facility but i know the college offers some waiver for people who cant afford.

The alumni is just gettting connected through the newly created portal .However the older alumni are well settled into jobs like satyanadella is the CEO also the nokia ceo is from manipal.

Exams were conducted once every two months. Lab tests once a year. Overall its a very balanced exam structure. Hence it wasnt too hectic or loose.The final end sem however was a little hectic.

Faculty are all highly qualified. with Mtech as well as PHD degrees. They are well experienced and maintain professional standards.Professors can be some of the most influential figures you will ever meet. While many school rankings include ﾓacademic rigorﾔ as a way to determine the quality of scholarship at a given institution, this can fall short, and ignore a number of important factors.
