3 years of my college life

The college life is good and one of the bad reamrks i can say about the college is the fee structure.

I took jee mains, jee advanced, bitsat, manipalentrance, kerala exam and i got 173,83,170,140 and 484 marks respectively and as i was general category i could not get into the desired colleges and since infrastructure was not good in kerala i decided to go to manipal university.

I have opted for electronics and communication, the curriculam is tough and is mainly deriving the formulas and the concepts of communication and also different types of electronic devices like microproceesor, microcontroller etc.there are also elective subjects and i have taken c++ and web programing as i have a good interest in computers.

Companies like goldman sacks, microsoft, honeywell tech, maruti suzuki, tata tech, oracle, deloitte, cisco, siemens have all offered internships and offered a stipend above 2000

The placements are extremely good. Companies like amazon, microsoft, maruti, hyundai, barclays, tesco, tcs, wipro, siemens, reliance and many have offered jobs to the students.

The colleges host 2 events anually one curltural and the other technical.the technical event is called techtathva and many colleges from different parts of the country take part in it. The cultural festival is called revels and many of the colleges from india takes part in it. The unviverity also hosts a cultural event called utsav which consits of all the colleges under manipal university thats are abroad and also in india.

The fee are expensive it cost around 2.64 lakhs per annum compared to other colleges it is extremly expensive and its one of the most expensive engineering colleges in india.

There are scholorships awarded to the student who have come below 1000 rank in their entrance exam and sbi provides loan facilities.

The campus is very large the whole town is full of colleges belonging to the university. The gender ratio is almost the same and there are no political or religion problems. They colleges is home to students from various parts of india and also abroad they also world class sports facilities.

The hostel facilities are pretty good and there are enough rooms for all the students in the college. There r various categories of rooms there are ac and non ac rooms and they quality is much better than the hostel and mess in most of the other colleges.

The students are very friendly and also really helpful the college implement anti ragging facilities to a very high extent and its easy to learn about ur course from the seniors.

The exam are tconducted as 3 parts.2 tests out of 20 and the final exam out of 50 and 10 marks assignment for the 20 mark test its conducted over 3 days and consists of 2 exams a day. The final exam is conducted every other day so that the students have a day for final revision.

The faculty are good and they provide a good insight to the course plan.they are really helpful and are always available to help us. Each of the subject have 48 hrs and they regularly conduct exams so that the student can take their time in learning the subject and asess where the students are weak and help them.
