Pros:Its highly reputed college in india. MIT Alumni like Satya nadella is CEO of microsoft now.

Course Curriculum Overview

4 semesters first semester in college has 5 theory + 2 labs+1 seminar second semester in college has 5 theory + 2labs + 1 mini project. 3 and 4 semesters projectwork.

Internships Opportunities

MIT provide Internship for all the eligible students in corporate companies for 1 year. Stipend offer 15000Companies came like General Electric (GE HealthCare), Intel, Vmware, Honeywell, Nokia, ST Micro electronics, Cerner Healthcare etc.

Placement Experience

In my class all were placed General Electric (GE HealthCare), Intel, Vmware, Honeywell, Nokia, ST Micro electronics, Cerner Healthcare etc. Packages ranges from 4.75 lacs to 8 lacs

Its little bit expensive compared to other colleges in india. 1st year 1.64 lacs. 2nd year 80k Hostel fee ranges from 30 k to 1 lac depends up on the aminities.

Yes, College has tieups with syndicate bank to offer bank loans to the students. And also tieups with corporate companies.

Campus Life

Campus life was good with mixed of studies and extracurricular activities. There were huge number of clubs for all extracurricular activities and technical groups.

It was good. College has alumni department in which they keep in touch with their students in various ways. They have organizing alumni meet every year.

Exam Structure

Exam and labs are divided into internal and external 20 % interanl and 80 % external. Labs were also same.

Faculty standard was above average.for the the subjects. All post-graduation courses has Phd faculty. They were good in teaching. They were punctual and dedicated their life for teaching.

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Mtech Thermal Engineering because I was interested in thermal subjects like Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, CFD. The Curriculum is pretty decent and it does covers the fundamentals and advanced topics of the particular subject but it could be better in terms of imparting practical and industrial knowledge. The exams that are held in NITK are competitive and requires a good understanding of the subject. You simply cannot cram and get good marks in exam. You have to know the proper implementation of that particular formula or theory.

Placement Experience:

After joining the course with 3 months of starting of the course the placements will be startedforthe students to apply for the placements. Tier-1MNCs companies are visiting for the college which are proving high package . The highest package got is 94LPA and average package is 10LPA. 95% of students got the placements.

Campus placement conditions have improved in IISc after the inception of campus placement cell. Average package is around I would say 25 lpa. Since most of the students go for higher studies from IISc hence, you will see the placement percentage to be low. Personality I am also going for higher studies.

MIT Manipal owns engineering!

Admission here are very consistent and just two methods. No other method works here as MIT Manipal has very clear plans. Either you can qualify through Manipal Entrance Test or JEE scores but 90 percentile is required. So it is tough as engineering seats in MIT Manipal maybe high but competition to be in top 1000-1200 means competing with nearly 100k students....Read More

MIT Manipal is awesome!

For B.Tech courses, Manipal Entrance Test is conducted by the college and students on the score and ranking are alloted branch. CSE and AI are taken by top rankers and then mid rankers can take our branch. However, first choice is always with the students. MIT Manipal is super tech savvy!

In MAHE or MIT Manipal the university only accepts their own entrance scored as JEE qualifications and all have very limited seats.
