AMAN KUMAR JHA's Review On Bundelkhand Institute Of Engineering & Technology - [BIET], Jhansi

Being one of the reputed state government college it naturally is one of the good options for pursuing B-tech for students. The atmosphere is also good. My first choice was IET Lucknow but I was not able to qualify the cutoff for required course there so I eventually choose BIET Jhansi as it is also famous for its mechanical engineering department. The best thing is this college allows you to shape yourself however you wish in the time that you spend there. The faculty is also supportive and helps you to explore yourself in your stay there.

My college is autonomous and follows AICTE Curriculum which is apparently updated from time to time. There is a provision of completing summer training/internships at the end of each year, college does not provide the internships but helps students in getting them. The faculties are best in mechanical engineering department especially AK Padap Sir as his way of teaching is amazing. The faculties of other departments are also nice.

Companies like TCS, infosys , Byju's, mahindra etc visit each year for campus placements. There is also a training and placement cell comprising of both faculty and student team which is fairly active and efficient at their work.

There are many cultural, technical events etc. which are being organised by different student councils of our college. There are six student councils at present and the campus remains vibrant almost whole year by the events organised by them. Techzion is the inter college fest organised in almost every 3 years. Inter college sports fest 'Prabhanjan' was also organised this year(2020). Apart from all these cultural events like freshers, kati patang, sopan etc are also some of the events that are organised by different councils.

Scholarships are available on the based of family income of the students i.e for the students with family income of less than 2 lakhs . The scholarship is provided by the state government and covers all academic fee of students. Loans are also available process odf which differs from bank to bank.

Wi-Fi is one of the best thing in college especially in hostels. Sports facilities are also good, we have wooden court for badminton, open playground for cricket, football etc. Library is also being updated (both in online and offline modes), labs are not that much good and are being updated.

Hostel infra is good for all years (first year is the best). There are four hostels (separate for each year) rooms are shared by 3 students in first year and 4 students in second year and single student in third and final year. There is no shortage of hostels and the hostel charge is paid along with the academic fee at the beginning of the year.
