Anonymous's Review On Sushila Devi Bansal College, Indore

I went to take admissions in many colleges after taking various examinations (VITEEE, Manipal, BITSAT, etc.). Qualified in some but didn't get the seat (CS is hard to get even after a good score in top colleges). Eventually came back home with a sad face as the fee of other colleges were high and were not worth it (Basic middle class scenario). Tried to apply for state colleges requires a good JEE score (I did not score well. not at all). Looked around, but CS was impossible to get. Some seniors of mine who has scored well in their JEE and academics chose this college for their degree (yes, they do exist) and recommended me to join as I could easily get CS even with my grades. There was nothing much here to be proud of but I thought to begin my journey from here in my field.

RGPV provided a well designed curriculum as per the ever growing era but my college wasn't aware of the trend in the market at that time. They still followed that strict school system (just focusing on grades). I am just about to enter my final year and they still wake up at the moment when everything has been passed and already being followed in the other colleges at their full force. Senior Faculties are just too proud (or dumb) to notice these things but the faculties who have joined recently have a good knowledge and have guided those floating kites (students). I truly thank them to open up a box of opportunities for our current growth. I wouldn't have made to the place where I currently stand. Don't even think about industrial training, internships and sports (just a dream shown by them).

Placement cell is doing an excellent job here despite being our college a Tier-3. A few fortune 500 companies come to our college and a tremendous opportunity has been provided by them. The seniors and alumni of the college are ever ready to help their juniors. The eligible students always have an opportunity to grab a decent job in a renowned company.

Don't even dare to develop a thought like this. Just like an annual function in government schools.(Bas karwadiya, kush raho). There is nothing in technical except a few coding competitions. In the name of funds, you will be given change. They don't support extracurricular activities in college apart from academics, though a few appreciate it. They want it their way but tell us to do it. No new creative modern ideas are to be supported (Not even DJ night or any music jam sessions). Participants will be seen from our own college and a selected curious fellow (around a dozen or so). Even the students of college don't come to participate (Just some free time with friends to hang out).

Infrastructure is good. No sports facility (except a sports week of 2 days in a year). Free to play while on a bunk (hard to do), have to go out of campus by secondary means if one wants a peaceful time. No Wi-Fi and almost no network in most of the places on the campus. Equipments are from the time when the tigers used to smoke (Korean Folklore sayings).
