I didn't prepared for jee mains but my wanted me to pursue engineering so I landed in SRM. I gave some exams also and secured good rank but SRM was a bigger name than them and also one of my cousin was also studying in that same college so we had some idea about it.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well taking about the course curriculum it is almost same for every engineering college but in SRM in addition to the traditional subjects in every semester you will have options to choose 1 elective subject which inculdes every modern and new tech like AI, additive manufacturing subjects.

Placement Experience
As you have heared in news also previous year SRM students got more offer letters than any IIT. Most IT companies visit the campus for recruitment and college also prepares ypu for that. Also there have many startups from our campus also like dhobiji you can google that.
College Events
Almost every year all the departments have their annual department fests where events like workshops, competition, paper presentation are conducted. In addition to that you will have a annual cultural fests whoch hosts different workshops and events with a DJ night where DJ's from different countries are invited.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes I have got academic scholarship of 15000. They have variety of sections available for scholarship like based on your jee marks, if any of your relative a faculty in SRM or based on your academic marks which I got.
Campus Life
Ramapuram campus in situated in the heart of the city chennai. You can fully enjoy the city life with your studies. In the campus premises you 2 basketball courts, 1 vollyball ground with cricket net practice area. We have multi storey library where you can find mosty every book related to different domains also there are many labs for different departments.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I'm staying in the hostel from the last 3 years. Well I would suggest that when you are coming to SRM your main focus should be studies right? In the first year 98% students opt for hostel as they don't know the area. The food served the Hostel in not good but okis. The bathrooms are cleaned twice a day, there is hardly and power loss if it happens you have generator facility this the main plus point of staying in the hostel. You will get wifi facility with time restrictions and also you have lift facility which almost never runs properly.
