Course Curriculum Overview
Our college is one of the top ranked teacher training instititions of the country. It mainly follows NCTE for B.Ed program. But it has its own programs like school exposure and multiculture programme. One would acquire proper knowledge and skills after following these kind of curriculum. Our faculties help us a lot and they are kind and generous. They stayed with us and visited regularly our schools whent we went for school exposure. They looked after everything we needed there.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities after completion of B.Ed are quite good. Every year private schools like Dps, Dac and many others come to take interview. Thisbyear due to lockdown placement program was not possible. Last year one student Anirban Mukharjee got 45000 offer from a school in Chattisgarh. Every One gets enough opportunities in placement program.
College Events
There are various of cultural events, co curricular activities and events in our college. Fresher's welcome, annual summit, annual sports, sports among hostels, dance competition, drama competition, community awareness competition are there. I took part in cricket compition this year and i was the wicket keeper batsman. Our team " Luna House" became runners up of that tournament. Police super of Bhubaneswar attended this competition.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are special scholarship for Odiya students and St/Sc/OBC category. In common entrance exam, toppers from every state are given some amount by NCERT in B.Ed program. I have not seen any one to take loans till now.
Campus Life
The campus has a large playground infront of the boys hostel. Their are three girls hostel and one boys hostel. Campus has tennis court, badminton court, volleyball court, Gym, post office, rides for kindergarten learners. Our institution provide education from kindergarten to research level. It simply follows the concept of inclusive education. Therefore the campus has been built such a way that the children with special needs also find it easier to habituate with it.
Hostel Facilities
There are three hostels for girls ( Ramanujan, GopaBandhu and Asutosh) and one boys' hostel (Homibhabha hostel). Obviously boys hostel is much bigger in size than any of the girls' hostel. there are three blocks in Homibhabha hostel "A,B&C". My room number is A29 and it is in third floor. Our hostel is well decorated and we have enough bathrooms in each floor. As the number of students varies from floor to floor, the number of bathrooms also varies. In most of the rooms there are three students. We take our meals from mess in ground-floor. There are proper water supplies. Badminton court and gardens are also there. We have to pay 2100 every month as rent. We have a common room in ground floor for cultural events and indoor games.
