Remarks
It was my dream to become a Xaverian. Moreover, I did not intend to leave Kolkata and St Xaviers is one of the top colleges in Kolkata in terms of Commerce. St Xaviers always topped in terms of the academy, music arts and other curricular activities. I always wanted to explore myself and find out my actual talent for the future. So, I knew that St Xaviers is the only platform that can help me out with the same in Kolkata. I was aware of the attendance terms, exam rules and the teaching faculties and facilities of the college. I was impressed with the attention the teachers provided to every single student.
Course Curriculum Overview
My college syllabus was always updated with the requirements of the Board. Since my college always had an opportunity to decide their syllabus on their own, they managed and changed the subjects and the syllabus accordingly. There was no industrial exposure I got during my college days as it was not completely required. but in many activities and debates or discussions, the companies used to give lectures on a certain market or economic criteria that really helped me to choose my path.
Placement Experience
The companies names Delloites India Delloites International, PWC, Futures, HDFC bank, CITI Banks etc visit our college every year for the placement facility. the profiles are offered are generally Analytical and accounts related but it depends on the requirement of the company. The process of placement varies company-wise and the college never interferes with them. The salary structure offered is also genuine.
College Events
As already mentioned, St Xaviers always excelled in all terms whether academics or extracurricular activities. Xavotsav is known by all the students where all the students are given the opportunities to showcase their talent. And it is one of the biggest events in India in terms of college fests. Apart from that Xaviers participates in every inter-college or national or international level competitions whether swimming, basketball or debates.
