The creams of Odisha read in this College. The College has highest cutoff among all the colleges of the state hence the environment is quite competitive. The College has the best experienced lecturers and professors for the Botany honours which is an added advantage.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus for the course was updated last year. The syllabus is almost the same with the subjects interchanged between semesters and some new topics added. Almost all the faculties are fluent in their subjects and teach each and every topic with enough clarity.
Placement Experience
No such placement facilities are known for Botany honours students. Students securing good marks in the semesters and qualifying various competitive exams in life sciences like IIT-JAM can persue their Master's degree in such great colleges after which they can easily get placed in life science companies.
College Events
The campus life in the college is quite satisfying. There are many options for the students to choose from the extracurricular activities including social service schemes like NCC,NSS and YRC for which the State,National and International level awardees are given a lots of honour from the government and all students enrolled get a weightage of upto 10% in the examination results.
Campus Life
The campus infrastructure is antique but the campus is huge. The College has 2 main gates- for entrance and for exit both guarded by security guards. The hostels are within the campus and well protected. The library or reading room is well maintained with a capacity of 72 students at a time. The library has all kinds of books along with magazines and newspapers to prepare students for different government competitive exams.
