Remarks

The college has three shifts, me being there in the morning shift known as Sivanath Sastrii College. The morning shift is entirely for girls, this being one of the factors that drove me to take admission in this college. The tuition fee is very low and it is much reputed for BCom Honours and BA English and Geography course.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Faculty of the BCom department is really helpful. Teachers are always there to help the students, not only syllabus oriented but also provides knowledge for the working for different jobs. The non teaching staffs are however very rude and inefficient.

Placement Experience

0.5

As far as placement is concerned, we do not have a placement cell in our college. Hence, no question of average salary package, etc. Students have to find internships online with their own efforts for now.

College Events

Events that take place in the college are annual functions, seminars, sports day celebration and freshers' party. Most of these events take place inside the college campus.Students also take part in the inter college fests.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
