Remarks
I liked the subject Sociology and this college has a better faculty than most other colleges for this very subject. Infact the college timing and distance from my place is completely fine. The teaching faculty is way too good. This subject deals with societal patterns and I wanted to know more about the society to to have a better understanding of it
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is more or less okay. But we should have more practical sessions cause we deal with society in sociology and if we do not interact and try to socialise with people we cannot study the subject entirely. So with theory sessions we should also have practical sessions which we generally don’t have.
Placement Experience
this is a government college under cu and I’m a honours student. So there are no such placement facilities. Whatever job u get its based on your marks. And being a first year student I have very limited knowledge about these placement facilities.
College Events
There are many extracurricular activities like sports dance singing fashion shows that take place. Fests are organised and also seminars take place on various topics. Many colleges participate. We also have quiz shows and most importantly the college balances both academics and extra curricular activities.
Campus Life
It’s nice but not upto the mark. The library doesn’t have sufficient amount of books. The labs are good but it can be much better. There’s no ground for people to play. The infrastructure of my college needs to be changed.
