Remarks
It is decently affordable and has good labs and teaching faculty. Many top rated colleges end up having bad professors so comparitively, my college is pretty good. We have a good canteen with hygienic food. We have a hostel for girls and boys inside the campus itself. There is a metro station coming up in front of my college. It is very accessible using bus and other modes of transport. There are many Xerox shops, eateries and essential shops nearby for students living PG and hostel. Our library is really well equipped with great books and E-library facility too.
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes our curriculum is based on the VTU syllabus and board. We have 60-40 scheme, where we get 40 marks internally from tests, assignments and quizzes. The rest 60 is from the external VTU exams. We are given placement training from 2nd year, we also go on industry drives. We have the IEEE technical club for the computer society chapter.
Placement Experience
The placements are decent, we have various companies coming from 7th sem to 8th. We have to be skilled enough to pass the placement rounds. Companies like Infosys, book my show, PayPal, Wipro, VMware are top companies that visited my college in the last two years. Yes the alumni are great and very friendly to approach for referrals. They are working as software engineer and software developers in many companies across bangalore. Some go abroad to pursue MS.
College Events
We have a technical fest called Ignus and Impulse. There are good choice of events conducted by various departments. It's a two day fest during March. We have another cultural fest during April/May for all departments, we have dance, fashion, mad ads, small fun events, singing, debates etc
Campus Life
Sports facilities are not so great. We have a ground for cricket, hockey, volleyball and football. In the sports room we have a table tennis board, chess, badminton and other equipment. But our kabaddi team is ranked at top among all VTU colleges. Even volleyball and hockey teams are strong. We also have inter departmental tournaments once a year.
