Scored rank as 5000 in Orissa JEE in 2004. This was the oldest private college and I opted for mechanical engineering.

2 semesters of common subjects for all streams. Then specialized course based on stream. The college is affiliated to B.P.U.T university. The curriculum is based on IIT standards.

There were more than 30 companies came for the campus selections. The most important companies were Tata consultancy services which hired 109 students, Wipro which hired around 50 students, Infosys which hired around 70 students. There were many core competencies such as jindal steel, bhushan steel, Renault-Nissan, etc which hired moat of the core branch students. The IT companies offered around 3.4 lakhs per annum package and the core competencies offered ranging from 2.5 lakh to 4.2 lakh per annum package.

There a number of annual events such as cultural and technical fests. Technical fest is called zazen and cultural is called zephyr. Apart from this, the college organizes quizotica, quizzing events at the state level.

The fee structure was very reasonable. I was paying around 55000 per annum. Apart from this fee, the exam fee was extra which was also responsible. There was a trust which also helped poor students and they were given some relief in their college fee.

The college is well reputed so banks provided loans very easily based on the score of the interance exam. There was no scholarship provided by college as per my knowledge.

The hostel was only for first year students. The hostel fee was around 30000 per annum. The food was not very great but was OK and hygenic. The mess charges were around 1000 per month which was very very less. I was staying in a flat after first year and the rent was also responsible as I was sharing the flat with friends.

I usually interact with my seniors and all were very supportive. They even helped in bringing some companies to college for campus selections. They even visited college and organized sessions on how to get through campus selections.

The exam structure was very nice. We had 3 internal exams whose weightage was 10% each. The semester exam was having 70% weightage. Apart from this, lab were also a part of the semester. Lab exam was based on viva and lab experiments. We used to have 4 hours of lab which was OK.

The faculty was very supporting and the have guided us in all possible ways. Most of the junior lecturers were B.Tech graduate but the head of the department were mostly very experienced in the industry. There were many efficient professors.
