Remarks
I learnt about Jamia Hamdard from my relatives. Two of my cousins were pursuing MBBS here and they had told me that it was a good place. The thing I like most about Jamia Hamdard is easily its campus. I have always been a person interested in tech especially computers, from a very young age. So I would say that was what drove to me opt for a computer science course.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our syllabus is not very up to date unfortunately and we were not provided any industrial exposure. The faculty is just about fine. There are some good professors but we just dont have regular classes.
Placement Experience
I dont know much about this. I guess thats because we just dont have good placements here. I dont know of any startups here and I dont think the faculty here is very active in trying to bring companies to the uni.
College Events
They are pathetic. Participation is non existent and management is just terrible. They did organize a cultural event celebrating the urdu language called jashn-e-adab. But I would say it was largely a failure. Students here are simply not very much interested in Urdu and the event just ended up becoming an opportunity for students to dress well.
Campus Life
The campus is huge and we do have quite a big sports complex. However, the football ground is very ill maintaned. I guess the most popular sport in our university would be basketball. The wifi is fine, the library is unfortunately pathetic(It shouldnt even be called a library). A library is supposed to be a place where you can just grab a book from a shelf and find a place to sit and read. But we cant do that here. We would have to get that book issued before we can read it. And the labs are just absolutely awful. I have always hated going to the labs here.
