Remarks

I was actually opting for a different college but there seemed to be happening a lot of politics inside that institution and some friends of mine already took admission in this college so I just took this into my consideration almost impulsively. But what made me stay here is the English faculty. Two particular professors are really good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Calcutta University per se is totally playing with the future of the students. Coming up with new course, new syllabus which actually ends up to nothing.They are plain experimenting with the education system. But yes, with the new CBCS system,one can score more and better marks than the ones who studied in 1+1+1 system.

Placement Experience

I don't know yet because there were no such opportunities given to us. At least for these two years. But the students studying in mass communication or other streams where groundwork and networking is needed, the opportunity for them getting an internship broadens but if majoring in literature, there are no such thing.

College Events

There are plenty of extracurricular activities that one can take part in the college I'm reading in. Especially the mass media department, which holds several activities like photography, videography and so on.

Campus Life

Size of library? My college doesn't even allows to sit and read in the library. One needs to write the name of the book she wants down on a paper one day earlier and I'm not so sure about labs. Coming to Wi-Fi, you can access it for around 10 mins. There is no campus as such.

The field tricks are done sometimes to make us understand the reality and the course is really good. I love that and the field trip helps us a lot to explain and to learn things that happening around us and foods are provided from the school or sometimes on trips, I'm really happy with my college.

A place to enhance skills

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because it has lots of scope in future to get a job and also it is a good subject or my National language. In this college lots of faculty has been given to the students. Well, I am also a new student but I can say that all teaching and non teaching staff and also the office staff are very humble to the students and they help us a lot. I am in B.A. 1st year student and lots of faculty has been given by our beloved teachers and office staff. The teachers are very humble by nature and the way they taught us is really mind blowing I am very grateful that I am a student of those teachers. In every 6 months, you have to give one semester examination and as I already told you that I am a new student and my exam is in February month so I do not have experience with the paper and how difficult it to pass but I can say you read properly you can pass the exam in Good marks.

Best to find in the least.

The student must have acquired 60 percent in 10+2 standard. The application form is available in the college website. There is no application fees. The application is given out in July . There is 10 percent reservation for OBC SC and ST. The semester exams takes place every 6 months along with internal exams every 2 months. The exams are moderate in difficulty level. Our college provides an auditorium which can accommodate up to 150 students at one go. There is a spacious common room for activities such as indoor games ( chess, carom board, dancing rooms) etc. A separate grievance cell is also there were the students can give their feedback about the college premises/staff in the complaint box.
