Remarks
As it is a recognized institution and it holds a good reputation regarding its students too, its a good platform to start your journey further if you're totally inclined in excelling in your career. But the college holds some Pros as well as Cons as it holds the alma mater of Bengal-based politicians the students of the college often get drawn to politics rather than studies to earn extra money. But apart from that its a good institution with a healthy environment.
Course Curriculum Overview
I studied in a college under Calcutta University and the syllabus of Calcutta University is only based in theoretical knowledge and not on practical based which will help fellow students to work efficiently in their workplace. Thus the following institution does not prepare us for real-life, it just increases our bookish knowledge which doesn't help us in our real life.
Placement Experience
Average, I do not have any experience regarding that but I have seen moderately good companies coming for placements such as ICICI and other such companies, job entrance exams are also held in the placement cell.
College Events
Not that happening, but the college made efforts to make fests, farewell, freshers, dept picnics. Visit the labs, practicals. But I must say the management is not at all good, students have to stand in vain and wait for the management people to show up and listen to them. We faced an ample amount of problems for admitting to the next following year of the degree course, the management people have a very harsh tone towards the students of the college.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is pretty much vast but it's clumsy, it's not like the colleges you see in the movies. It consists of old buildings with airy classes, you can reminisce the things from the old days like long hanging fans, big windows, ample amount of identical, confusing rooms.
