Good experience.

I took CET(common entrance test). My CET ranking was 16343 for all over Karnataka. Once i got my ranking , there was a counselling according to the ranks arranged in my college, but now its made online . When i attended counselling , first they took my documents for verification and they verified all my documents and sent me to the room where the actual process was going on. When my ranking displayed , i was been called at counter 1 . Later according to my wish they allotted me the seat in my college. I opted for this college because this is the top 1 college in my city.

Course was of 4 years, divided into 8 semesters . Odd semester starts from September of every year and exams of odd semester starts from January . Even semester starts from February of every year and exams of even semester starts from June . Each semester have 25 credits and optional 5 credit if we want . The total credit of the course was 200 . First year was combined with other branches as there were common subjects . My first semester was Chemistry cycle and second Semester was Physics cycle. From 2 year we are sent to our branches . In second year there were 2 elective subjects of 3 choices each and each for each semester. While in 5th semester there was 2 elective subjects, with 3 choices for each elective subject and the same was for 6th semester. 7th semester was having 3 elective subjects with 3 choices for each elective subject . While 8th semester was having on elective subject with 3 choices of subjects. In each semester there was 6 subjects and two labs( excluding 8th semester ) and other than above mentioned subjects the remaining were mandatory subjects . In 8th semester there was two subjects and one seminar and one project . In my college there were 9 branches . They are as followsInstrumentation technology , Electronics and communication , Electrical and electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Cements and ceramics, computer science , information science , industrial production.

There were no chances of internship in our college hence no company offered the internship to us. But in vacations if we want we could go to internship.

My batch placement was very bad Following are the companies and number of people placed and package. Ultratech cements : 3 lacs pa and 6 were placedTech support of IBM, Accenture : 2 lacs pa and 20 were placed, ethnus : 2.5 lacs pa and 2 were placed.

Yearly once there will be the techno-cultural event called NIRVANA which used to go for 3 days with average budget of 5 to 10 lacs all events inculding technical and non technical used to take place all over city students used to participate every women's day there was an exclusive event called SIRI only for women which used to run for 1 week.

Other than government fess 17000 was building fund management seats were according to the branches starting from 75000 inr to 2.5 lacs i think the fess was feasible.

No only government scolarships were there according to the category wise.

Girls and boys were equal in numbers workshops on different technologies were conducted in every month and for each department there was election for cultural head, general head and ladies representative cultural heads of all the department used to form a cultural society where extra curriculum activities were given importance there was science club were students were given chance to explore their abilities in science. There was high level of intolerance to the creating problems for gender, ethnicity, race, religion and sexual orientation, anyone creating issue in the above regard were punished to very heavy extent like suspending from the college .

I was not part of hostel so i dont know about the hostel facilities and mess food but my friends used to say that its good.

My college seniors were so friendly and so good to us they never behaved as they are seniors to us they were very helpful they used to help us in each and every aspect they used to be so kind to us.

There was two days a week lab and monthly once internals and semester once main exams if someone failed in main exam there was one more facility called make-up exam after the 15 days of results where students were given chance to take up exam again.

The senior faculty were very good in their fields and they were so helpful in their subjects but as my college was autonomous they used to dominate us . Apart from that juniors lecturers were least knowledgeable and dint even tried to improve their skills.
