Remarks

Highly compassionate staff. They teach both advanced and basic sciences clearly. There are many students of this university who have cleared their ARS. Students have cleared their NET exams with just listening to classes and no extra separate readings for it. They also carry out national conferences, lecture series. Course GENETICS and plant breeding is an ever green subject. All the other fields of agriculture relay on GPB for development. It is the indirect way of helping farmers

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Syllabus is well updated.it as both basic sciences and applied. Including genetics and cytogenetics to bioinformatics. No industrial exposure. Inside department only had molecular labs that was sufficiently for marker analysis and identification that needs to be learnt by a breeder. All faculties are best. Especially Dr.S.S.patil sir with atmost dedication who is insisting to bank upon conventional breeding to bring abt another round of greater green revolution.

Placement Experience

2.5

No direct placements are there. Usually, students there go for pursuing higher studies like Phd. But can go to a private company by reference.

College Events

3

My classes used to usually end by 7:30 or 8 p.m. in most days of the week. An annually important function is the national conference on remembrance with Dr.S.W.Menshinkayi. Students can present their work in oral presentations and get exposed well. Krishimela to connect to farmers' need. Could meet thousands of people at a sight.

Campus Life

5

Have good sports arena with indoor sports too. The library is very vast with greater collections of books. It can accommodate a very large number of people. Free unlimited high-speed wifi. Molecular lab with sufficient materials.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Average facility. Depends upon which block u get to accommodate. Some blocks are highly equipped with both solar and boilers. But in some it as neither one. It's a vegetarian mess 2 or 3sharings ( depending on the block)

1.I was very much intrested to be a scientist when i choose biochemistry because its one of excellent bioscience subject to pursue the carrier as good scientist and complete the phd in bio science field 2.I would say for further acedmic carriculum like to pursue phd and to complete bioscience related competative examination will be clear by just following acedimics but am not saying it will prepare for you to a real world . 3.teaching methods is excellent as i mentioned earlier but problem is they only stick to acedmics apart from that they didnt prepare for real world problem job getting moto that is problem 4.exams level of difficulty is mediatory not high or not low as of my knowledge but other say it very difficult exams nobody able to score more than 70%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.
