Remarks
My reason for choosing St. Teresa's is because of its reputation as one of the best colleges for commerce in Ernakulam. Being a women's college is one of the things that I love about St. Teresa's as it enabled me to grow and realise my own strengths and abilities. The course that I chose was most appropriate as the faculty is one among the best in the college and gives personal attention to each and every one of their students.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our B.com syllabus was recently updated and while teaching our teachers often explained to us the recent developments in the field of commerce and accounting both on a national and international level. Our department organizes industry visits for II year students each year and at the end of their II year, students are required to undertake an internship with a reputable organization. Our teachers also undergo training programmes hence they are highly qualified and skilled.
Placement Experience
Our college has a placement cell which has ties with several institutions of repute providing ample opportunities for students to get placed and kickstart their careers. Speaking from the experience of a commerce student, major companies like Wipro, Deloitte etc conducted campus placements and several students got placed. The college also has a strong network of alumni many of them who work in the entertainment industry. There are several initiatives by the alumni which promote student placements and entrepreneurship. The entrepreneurship development cell of the college conducts various exhibitions and activities for promoting student entrepreneurs. They also provide training and assistance to foster the growth of such student enterprises.
College Events
St. Teresa's is known for its extracurricular activities and it thrives on the talents of its students. You'll be showered with opportunities to showcase your artistic and intellectual capabilities during the three years you spend in this college. The annual Teresian Week is a time for coming together and celebrating the past, present and future of the college.
