Rajat Kumar Yadav's Review On Poornima College Of Engineering, Jaipur

I took direct admission in the college. I opted this particular college because this was one of the good colleges in my region and I don't wanted to go outside or far away from my house and parents. I choose this course because it is trending at this time and it has large variety of options available for me.

The course is good and have most of the subjects related to civil engineering. There were all the main subjects like structures, transportation, steel, environment, geotechnical etc. and all are according to GATE syllabus.

For civil non of the companies have visited the college and I haven't done any internship yet. But for internship college has given 45 days and student has to apply separately to the companies in which they want to do internship. In my knowledge there are no companies which provides stipend in Jaipur while training. Student head to manage on its own.

As I mentioned earlier no companies came for civil. But Infosys came and took civil students at package of 3Lac per annum. But in computer science few companies come every year but non of them provides good salaries. Most of them are local companies of Jaipur.

There is only one college annual fest named AADHAR which conducts technical and cultural competitions such as programming challenge, dance challenge etc .

I don't have knowledge about anything of that. A few banks offer loans. And I don't know any student who has taken loan in my college. So I couldn't explain about any of them.

The campus life is just like our school life due to various rules of college like attendance criteria, strictness, doing classwork also like school and checking of that work. Sports doesn't takes place because there are no grounds for playing except basketball. Robotics competitions are held over a year. That's the only thing which is of good quality that is held in the college.

There is no interaction between the alumni. College organize alumni meet once a year but only informed to alumni. None of the present students are told about alumni meet as a result present students doesn't get to interact to alumni.

Yes the exams are hectic. They occur regularly for six days including labs without any break except Sunday in internal examination. In external or university examination proper time is given for study.

The faculty of the college isn't good. Al the teachers are unexperienced and just B.Tech pass out. They even don't have the proper qualification. They can't even clear all our concepts as they too don't have cleared theirs.
