Experience. Reputation of the college. The faculty is experienced and systematically distributed. All my seniors recommended this college, they themselves being an alumni. Authenticity of the college. The bengali atmosphere is existent here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The sociology honors course is very enriching and the syllabus is well organized and up to date. It follows the curriculum set by Calcutta University. The gradation of this college is A and the college is involved in many extra curricular activities. Academically prepares the student thoroughly and the faculty is appreciable.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunity is good and students from different degrees appear for different interviews. A good percentage of these students get selected. Being a student of first year I dont know about the placements but all I know is that there are various companies which provides interview sessions and frequent internships and seminars are conducted where students get a hand on learning experience.
College Events
There are many extra curricular activities taking place in the campus. Among all we have the Umaang utsav which is the inter school fest. It takes place in a huge scale. Other than that we have orientations, Independence day functions, farewell, freshers, sports, fashion shows, talent hunt,dance-singing-rap-photography-writting competitions. We also have an active magazine and everyone is encouraged to participate in them. They are open to all students and the participants are guided by the seniors,
Campus Life
The campus is huge. It is licated on the main Hazra road. There are total 3 buildings. The main building is the oldest if them all. And opposite to that we have another building in the adjacent lane and after leaving a few building beside that we have the humanities building in the same lane. The buildings are huge and equipped with Ac and non Ac libraries, photocopy booth, a 2 storeyed auditorium, common room, canteen, office, lifts and washrooms. The building also consists of water coolers at resquired places
