Remarks
The serene environment in which it is located is beyond everything, also some of my family members have completed their graduation from here and had given excellent reviews such as amazing faculty members, great infrastructure, extra- curricular activities, and beautiful environment and now me myself have been witnessing all of them and I feel really blessed.
Course Curriculum Overview
Syllabus is always updated and completed in time. Not only theory but also we are provided with enough practical knowledge and industrial exposure is also promoted. Most of the faculty members are student-friendly and are ever ready to help the students in the best possible way.
Placement Experience
There is a training and placement cell which takes care about the placement. Also we have a good connection with the SMIT Alumni, every year Alumni meet is conducted. Companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Cognizant, Amazon etc have visited the campus.
College Events
Extra curricular activities are so well managed. It doesn't hampers the academic hours at all. Every year we have college fest named Kaalrav, which is one of the biggest fest in North East India, students come different parts come and showcase their talent, we also have celebrity visitors, renowned singers, and amazing bands. There are different clubs from different departments. Also Technical fest known as Tech Adristha is conducted every year hereby promoting creative talents. Various conferences are also held where learned personalities pay a visit. The Student council along with the help of the teachers manages various activities.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is absolutely amazing. WiFi facilities are open at all time, we have a different sports arena, gym, indoor swimming pool, yoga classes. Students can avail whichever facilities they wish to. Library is huge in size with AC inserted and various types of valuable books, magazines and daily newspapers which keeps the students updated, we also have a reading hall above the library wherein one can spent a good time reading.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Facilities is also really good. 24 hours running water, good and healthy food starting from breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, dinner are served, we also have a canteen in the mess, not only this but also within the hostel, night canteen facilities are available. Two people share one room with inserted bathroom. Lots of rooms are there in the hostel so availing the facility is not difficult.
