Most importantly the placements. SMIT has a good provision of quality placements with a rate of 90% in companies like Microsoft, Dell, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, etc. The teachers are like own parents. The infrastructures are of good standard. Located at a beautiful location in Sikkim.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very much updated following the recent developments in the field of science and technology. Faculties monitor the students regularly as like parents. There is a parent- child culture established. Faculties work very hard to uplift the weak students.

Companies like Microsoft, Dell, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Bosch, and 20 more offer jobs to students every year. The training and placement cell work very hard in inculcating the on job skills to students. There are many startups like Untap'd, Shield Infotech, Hungerbay, etc by the students from SMIT.
College Events
Technical events SMIT is well known for the Technical events like Tedx SMIT, Tech adrishta, Kalaamdrishti and many more. We host the north-east's biggest carnival (Kaalrav) a three days festival. Literally there is no sports that is played in SMIT everyone is engaged in one or the other. SMIT is well known for fitness freaks as our Director sir himself is a good athelete and promotes fitness activities.
Campus Life
SMIT has a world class Sports complex - Marena comprising of Gym, Swimming pool, Indoor basketball court, tennis court and many more. Each student is provided with two high speed wifi networks with a limit of 1gb per day for each network. There is a central library of 3500sq m comprising of 60000+ books, articles, magazines, etc and has a seating capacity of around 500. The labs are equipped with all sorts of necessary devices. Rather it be PCs workstations, tablets, etc SMIT also has a super computer (param-shavak)
