Anonymous's Review On DHSK Commerce College, Dibrugarh

I heard a lot about this college after my 12th and it was the popular commerce college in Assam, so I decided to take admission in this college, and the best part about here is that there are 2 shifts in the college, morning shift and day shift, so the students get the options of choosing there own shift according to their situation.

I am an Accounts student, so the faculty of Accounts & Finance was good. The professors out there were very friendly and helpful. The top faculties of the Accounts department like Jacob Sir and Haloi Sir are the best ones. As I was from morning shift I was not so familiar with the college professors because there were other contractual based professors who took our classes so, the one I knew was great.

There are no placements offered by our college DHSK commerce college. At the very beginning, I thought there must be placements but no I was wrong our college does not provide any type of placements for the students of any year. Not even our seniors got.

It was good, there were many events like college fest, annual week, freshers, and many more. There were also many presentations and other things that took part in the auditorium but as I was from the morning shift we didn't get many opportunities to take part in extracurricular activities because most of the activities took place at the day shift so it was kind of bad luck for the morning shift students, and also we didn't get informed about it too because when our classes come to an end the day shifts classes just start so the information didn't receive to the morning shift people much.

I don't know about any scholarships. One of my seniors told me about a scholarship for sc students but when I asked the college faculties about it then they denied it so I don't know about it. Maybe there are any scholarships offered to the students but I didn't get any information about it.

In the beginning, the infrastructures were not so advanced but after almost 6 months all new infrastructures were brought to the college. New canteens, new girls, and boys common room were built. New basketball court, new indoor games room, gym, etc. The library of our college was also built properly. So in short infrastructures were nice.

Yes, I stayed in the college hostel. The hostel was great. The infrastructure of the hostel was nice, the mess was fine too and after we left more rooms were built in the hostel for more students. Our current warden in the hostel is also very good, he takes care of each and every student in the hostel-like his own family member. The caretaker is also good.
