One of the best (one of the top 3) colleges in Kolkata to offer an undergraduate course in psychology BA honours and the faculty, laboratory infrastructure and staff were great. Have been wanting to pursue Psychology since i was a kid so i was quite resolved to take up the course.
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes, the faculty is amazing. i only hope to see a change in the curriculum where we get more exposure to applied psychology. a more practical and applicative curriculum. We need more industrial exposure and more real life experience in our discipline.
Placement Experience
TCS has a tie up with our college where they recruit graduates after the third year. i hope to see a better placement process. No such notable alumni or start ups from my batch. We don't have a notable entrepreneur cell in our college
College Events
We get every scope to participate in fests and sports activities, we have events and cultural programs quite frequently. We don't host a fest of our own though which i hope changes. Professors encourage us to participate in cultural and extra curricular events as much as possible.
Campus Life
Library and equipments in laboratories are very good. library is stocked with great up to date books, my college doesn't have good sports scope/facilities. yes, we have wifi but we are not allowed to use phones inside the class or corridors.
