Remarks
PSIT has had a very promising placement record over the years and every year the previous 'first day placements' record is broken. Secondly, the infrastructure is very good as they offer best in quality hostels which are neat, clean, and well maintained. The hostel washrooms are also cleaned twice a day which is really hygienic.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus is quite up to date and very aware of the latest trends and changes in the technical sector. Being a computer science student I'm pretty satisfied with the technical know-how of the professors who teach us. A training program was conducted for the first year students that spread across the first 2 semesters for hands on learning experience of the programming languages we were being taught.
Placement Experience
Companies that visit the campus are TCS, Wipro, IBM, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, Infosys, WABAG, Daffodil, Reliance Brands Limited, Analytics Quotient, Optum, Ericcson, MRF, ANZ, Cognizant and many more.
College Events
This point is the weakest point of the college as there was not a single event that took place in the 2019-20 session. No fest, no cultural or club activities or anything. The 2019-20 session was very boring and monotonous to be honest. Students can play sports and go for outings but within the campus there wasn't much to do.
Campus Life
The campus infrastructure is where PSIT stands out. The classroom furniture is top notch, the dining hall, classrooms, library, canteen, labs, etc. almost every part of the college is centrally air-conditioned. The college boasts of a football field, cricket field, various volleyball grounds, basketball courts, badminton courts, etc. The labs are also very well equipped with all the latest and best quality equipment and machines. The mechanical workshop has everything a mechanical engineer would require. the library is also quite good though the timings are very short and one can get only 2 hours of quality self study time there as it shuts at 8 pm.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are very good as they are cleaned by the staff everyday and the washrooms are washed twice a day which makes it pretty hygienic. There is also a laundry facility for the students where we can get our clothes washed and ironed. The hostel also has a small general store which does not have much to offer except some basic stationary. It can really be improved.
