Sivanath Sastri College is one of the best and most renowned commerce college in Kolkata. It is a morning college. Classes start from 6:15 and it's for girls only. It is known for its excellent academic background and amazing faculty

The Sivanath Sastri College is known for its amazing faculty and education system. The teachers are top notch and they're very efficient. We have online classes regularly amidst the covid 19 situation.

Placement Experience

I'm in first year so i don't know much about the placement cell of our college. But i have heard during the first year briefing that many companies are invited during the placements and lots of students are placed every year.

College Events

The college is very old and has a historic significance. Generations of students have studied in this college. The infrastructure is not that good but the campus looks beautiful because of the garden that surrounds the entrance of the college.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
