Remarks

Sivanath Sastri College is one of the best colleges in kolkata.it is known for it's commerce division It is the morning section of south city college. Its a girls college and classes are in morning so that i have ample time to do other stuff in my free time

Course Curriculum Overview

Sivanath Sastri College is known for its amazing academics and faculty. The teachers are Lenient and strict. Some are like our friends. Debanjan Laha is the best. He is a good mentor. The teachers are up to date with the course syllabus

Placement Experience

The placement cell is not that good of our college. But companies do come and visit us during placements. Few students are placed every year but the college is trying to cope with this shortcoming by providing us with seminars and other counselling sessions

College Events

The campus is very old and the building seems to hold a huge historical value. Infrastructure is not that good and the classrooms do not have proper ventilation and fans so it's very difficult to attend lectures in the summer season

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
