Remarks

I love economics and accountancy so i took up bachelor's is commerce honours in accountancy and finance. Sivanath Sastri college is one of the best commerce college for girls in Kolkata. It's in the morning

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The faculty of this college is good. The teachers are Lenient and friendly. Some are strict though. Madhumanti Ghosh ma'am is my favourite. She's a very good professor. We also had online classes during the Lockdown.

Placement Experience

Unfortunately the college do not have a proper placement opportunity. Very few companies come for placements and only few students are placed through placements. Alumni networking is also good. many old students are still a part of our college.

College Events

The campus is very small and the building is really old. The classrooms are huge but they're packed with students. It's hard to even get a place to sit in the class. Also the number of washrooms in the college is very less compared to the number of student. We also have number of fests and other cultural events such as Rangmanch on Holi.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
