Remarks

Commerce is my favourite subject and i want to pursue MBA for my master's so i chose b.com honours. The fees of Sivanath Sastri College is very minimal so i took admission in this college so that i can save for my masters. Also it is near my house and it's a morning college

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers or the professors of sivanath Sastri College is very Lenient and friendly. Some teachers are really good like the head of department of commerce Ratan Sir. Who is an extraordinary teacher. We love to attend his classes.

Placement Experience

The placement of our college is not good. We do not have a proper placement cell in college. Very few companies are invited and none of them are much reputed. Very few and selective students are given placements. So others have to rely on external sources for placements.

College Events

The campus itself of sivanath Sastri College is very old and boring. The building is very old and gives out a historic effect. We have various events in our college as well like Utkarsh Freshers rangmanch and teacher's day which is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm.

There are placements in the college campus in the last semester with several companies coming for interviews such as big 4 and big 6 companies and the placements are around 60000-70000 per month after the course.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
