I picked a small liberal arts college because I wanted smaller class sizes and the chance to establish close relationships with other students and my professors. I thrive in a collaborative environment, and I relished the opportunity to engage with other students and work together to complete projects.

New Skills Academy offers more than 200 online courses. The courses are aimed at growing professional or personal skills. Through the academy, students can take courses to earn certifications that can translate to new jobs or new careers. Courses range from half-hour long tutorials on decorating cupcakes to in-depth courses on foreign languages, digital marketing and child psychology

Campus placement or campus recruiting is a program conducted within universities or other educational institutions to provide jobs to students nearing completion of their studies. In this type of program, the educational institutions partner with corporations who wish to recruit from the student population.

The office of Student Life & Activities is dedicated to enhancing the college experience through a comprehensive campus life program. We are an integral part of Brookdale Community College, working to complement the college’s mission through student centered programs and services. We encourage students to create and take responsibility for their campus community.

The College has made unprecedented attempts to make the College campus differently-abled friendly. Ramps and elevators facilitate the movement of differently abled people within the college building. The College also has washrooms for differently abled students. There is a unique Resource Center for Visually Impaired Students (RCVC) developed under the SRCC Enabling Unit. The resource center has a variety of assistive technology tools, hardware equipment and software, like JAWS and Supernova, the screen-reading softwares; Kurzweil, the OCR; Clear Reader, the instant-reading hardware equipment; clear-view the magnifier attached with LCD; DUXBURY Braille translator; scanning and embossed printing devices; etc. to facilitate students with different degrees of visual impairment.

You might feel homesick but at the same time you would also be pretty excited about living alone. It will be like a feeling of nostalgia has grabbed you and you can't just shake it off. Living away from home all on your own can be a little difficult. But isn't that what you wanted all along? Life in a hostel might not initially be as much fun as you thought it to be. But everything has its own pros and cons, right? So, why not make the best of what you have. There are some experiences that you can have only as a hosteller. So, just relax and try to settle in your life as a college student. Because once you graduate in a few years you'll look back fondly at these experiences that you had in your hostel.
