Remarks

I wanted to pursue Computer Science and Engineering. According to my rank in JEE mains i.e. 34622 I was getting Aerospace in PEC and CSE in UIET, CHD so I went for UIET. Apart from this The companies that came for placement this year were Microsoft,Amazon and maximum package availed was 44 lacs. I saw this as a big reason to join the college. As ample opportunities have been provided.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculties here are really supportive. Available mostly all the time as they're living around the campus only. So any help can be availed all the time. Regarding the course curriculum The course isn't that much updated in computer science as modern languages are not being taught here Electives isn't really a thing as subjects are forced upon in the last few semesters. Rest of the course is relevant.

Placement Experience

The companies that visit the college are Deloitte,Optum UHG, Gemini sol, Infosys, Yamaha, Amazon, Goldman Sachs and others. Placement process is well managed by TPC the placement cell of our college. The alumni are really supportive and tell us any information we require from the companyat any time we contact them. Students have started various startups from our college but they aren't famous.

College Events

Well this is one field that our college really excels in. There are a lot of things in the college to do apart from academics. Various clubs include EDC(entrepreneurship development cell), Rotaract Himalayan, Programming club UIET and many more like robotics, drama etc. Therefore a lot of options are available for Students to perform well in.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester scholarship is available depending on the CGPA Above 9 mostly are provided with the scholarship If the students score above 9 Cgpa in the first semester they get promoted to the branch of their choice

Campus Life

There aren't any special sports facility in the college. There's a ground to play in Wi-Fi facilities are available in the hostels as well as Campus 24x7 Library is enormous and has all sorts of books novels as well as academics. Lab equipments are well updated and has various systems with high tech GPUs

Hostel Facilities

The best part about Panjab University are it's hostels All in all there are 8 boys hostels and 12 girls hostels. Food and room quality are excellent. PG's are also available nearby and have an average cost of 10-15000 per month with food

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college is better than many tier 2 NITs . Students are eligible for placement in 8th semester. If we talk about the top companies visiting PEC, these are Apple, Google, Microsoft, American Express, McKinsey, JP Morgan etc.

Placement Experience:

from 5 semester you become eligible for internship and pre placements i think 56 percent of the students get placed i haven't thought much about what i need to do after the degree but definitely i would be considering gaining some experience in this degree to enhance my skills

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Overall im loving this college

Placement Experience:

For placement students can apply in their last year respectively Top recruiters at UICTE include Reliance, GAIL, Honeywell, ExxonMobil, and Technip, offering many roles, but exact offer numbers aren't publicly available. Highest package for chemical engineering this year is 12 LPA and average is around 5 to 7LPA I want to do something of my own after this degree

There are on compus placement and few companies visit. But very few students are only selected and offered a package of around 5-6 lpa. Oracle, fy, hdfc etc In percentage placement is around 10%. I plan to apply for off campus placements and don't have any plans for mtech or any other cource.

I want to go abroad for higher studies and after that work for a multinational company. I will be able to learn so much about what has been taught to us, the highest package that was given was 42 lakh per annum and the minimum is 10 lakh per annum and CSE gets the highest number of the package.

my college: pros and cons

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
