Remarks
The college is among the top NITs with most experienced faculty and highest number of placements and it is located in a very developed city with a very friendly weather throughout the year. I wanted to do civil engineering because i was fond of skyscrapers since childhood. I got curious to see different monuments in the world their structure, these things inspired me to took civil engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was good but it had technologies and methodologies which were used 5 to 7 years back, modern technology was not included in course plus it had limited knowledge, it was made in a way so that students find it easy to read. Yes we were provided industrial exposure.we visited 4 to 5 places to learn practical experiences. Faculties were really very goos, their teaching style was updated, they used to give presentations. Dr S r Suryawanshi sir was really good faculty.
Placement Experience
Many companies visited, core and non core both according to different branches. 600 Students were placed approximately. The placement process includes written test gd amd interview. The TnP cell was very good, they helped many students to get jobs after college, our alumnis were also sometimes coming as an interviewer making students feel comfortable and proud. There was no entrepreneur cell in college
College Events
We had a annual techno cultural fest called Sparsh which comprises of technical events and cultural nights. It was the biggest event held by any college in gujarat and it had footfall of around 10000. It was organised in college ground which was very huge.
Campus Life
Our college campus had beat infrastructure compared to other colleges. All bulidings were made within 10 years back. Hostels were of 8 floors with great look from outside. Wifi was at various departments in the campus. The library was made 2 years back and it was very well planned and developed by our own college faculty, it had every type of safety measures. We had a huge sports ground where lawn tennis, volleyball, basketball, court, cricket ground amd football ground was there plus indoor stadium for badminton and pool, table tennis. Labs were having sufficient number of equipment with all new technologies.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels were very good. Apart from first year we can occupy a single seater room or double seater room at max. We just had to book our room online at college site before the academic year starts by paying the yearly rent at once around rs 28000.
