Remarks

Previous year results were good enough, So my parents decide to admit me here, Now I am happy with this college and course. Teachers are good and my classmates are also good. Facilities are nice and admission procedure is easy with online money submission

Course Curriculum Overview

Thakurpukur Vivekananda college is Under Calcutta university. I am a student of part - 3, 1+1+1 type B.Sc course. From next batch they started Semester system for both B.Sc amd B.A course. Buildings are clean enough, Gym facility, Indoor and Outdoor Games facilities are also available there. Large playground attached with college buildings.

Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

Placement Experience

Some companies are come to know about students for internships. Every month 2 or more company staffs are come to give internships for students. Direct job offers are not available there in our college.

College Events

Some research works are there for students to prepare their own skills, Annual Drama competition also organised every year, Inter and Intra college drama competition are held in our auditorium with participation of various colleges of our city Kolkata. Annual Sports organised by student union and college staffs, Holi Utsav is our new programme since 2019

Fees and Financial Aid

If someone has caste certificate then he/she can get some scholerships. And some scholerships are based on exam results. Our principal Dr. Tapan Kumar Poddar is a good man and he arrange some scholerships for students.

Campus Life

Buildings are clean enough, Gym facility, Indoor and Outdoor Games facilities are also available there. Large playground attached with college buildings. Library includes a reading room and a stag room. Wifi facility is also available for all. All labs are clean and filled with good equipments, Annual sports held in January includes outdoor and indoor games. Gardens are filled with beautiful flowers everywhere and trees are cutted beautifully.

Hostel Facilities

There are no hostel facilities in our college. This is a black side of this college. Some paying guest services are there, near college premises. some houses have paying guest facilities for college students.

Good academics with limited internship opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and well structure. It includes theory an practical subject which help in building strong basics it is useful for higher studies and future career . Placement Experience:

After completing the 5th Semester the student are eligible for placement but the student should have 7.5 CGPA and a good attendence for the palcement after this oncampus placement like TCS, wipro, accenture etc come for placement with a native package of around 6-8 LPA. Which is goood . Nearly as per report around 80% of studentt gets placed every year . After i complete this course i have decide to go master degree in data science which will be benificial for me for international company.

Pros and cons

Placement Experience:

Placement or internship depends on the course Duration . Overall placement is good . The highest package is 1cr/ yr. And the average package 2to3 lakh/ yr. After getting the bsc. degree in Forensic science, I want to prepare for compitive exam or prepare for higher studies.

How an average student sees his College

Remarks:

Pros:The teachers very very helpful and friendly. Loans and scholarships available. Faculties are highly qualified. Infrastructure is awesome. Cons: no placement. No stipends There wasn’t any hostel facility. Canteen could be developed.
