Remarks
It is one of the best colleges india well known for its academics. I had to work very hard to compete in JEE to overcome and get selected in the IITs. I was in Aerospace dept. This institute has a working hangar and runway which is a unique feature in the colleges in India. A very rich open culture where you could learn anything was my favorite thing in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Very elaborate, and many many choices. The main factor is that even though you belong to a vmcertain department you can study anything, learn anything, with all varieties like humanities, art, culture, science etc.
Placement Experience
The visiting companies for the core jobs in many departments are scarce and do not at all match up with the reqiired numbers. Majority of placements happen in in OT sectors, but the package was decent due to reputation of our college.
College Events
Cultural festival of Antaragni is a spectacle in Kanpur. Inter hostel festivals like Galaxy, Takneek and Udghosh give a very good opportunity to hone and showcase your skills in extra curricular and compete in inter college festivals.
Campus Life
Very high tech labs and able staff. Vibrant infrastructure with all the modern facilities like tennis court, football ground, hockey ground, swimming pool. Even I learned to swimming there only. With 12 hostels and every hostel has a saperate ground.
Hostel Facilities
All students are alloted hostel rooms. First year students generally live in pairs but as you become senior you get your own room in 3rd year. All the hostels have their dedicated TV rooms, playing ground, club room and ofcourse mess.
