Remarks
I chose this university mainly due to its excellent placements in the field of Computer science. Apart from this the college also excels in terms of academics and is one of the best among all colleges affiliated to AKTU when it comes to academics. The best thing I like about the college is the collective efforts put in by all its professors and the administration in grooming and preparing the students to get placed in big MNCs high packages.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum provided by AKTU is followed for all the Btech courses. The faculties are really good and helpful, they put in much efforts for the students to prepare for the semester exams. One of our best faculty was Dr. Achyut Narayan Kesari of chemistry in my first semester, he was extremely helpful be it for academics or other competitions held in the college. His method/way of teaching was really nice.
Internships Opportunities
On campus internships are not provided by the college but if the students have the right skills and knowledge, they can apply for them off campus.
Placement Experience
This year the highest package was 26 Lpa. The mass recruiters were 4 companies namely Infosys, Tcs, Capgemini and Wipro which recruited 939 students. Apart from these, 42 were selected in Justdial, 36 in Reliance, 33 in Capgemini and 26 in Ibm. All together there were 1480 till now and still counting. The alumni network is also strong and one can get easily get connected with them through the Linkedin page of the college.
College Events
Campus life was not that good because the clubs were closed this year and so the students had no exposure and interaction with the seniors. There was a fresher's event named WAVES which was good and and enjoyable but apart from that there were no technical or cultural events. The college fest named IGNITIA sadly got cancelled this year due the Corona pandemic although I have heard about it that it is a really good, informative and enjoyable one.
Fees and Financial Aid
Separate scholarship facility is not provided by the college but the students can apply for the state gov. and central gov. scholarships. Also one can get a scholarship if he/she belongs to the EWS category and has a rank above 10000 and separately applies for it during the AKTU counselling but in that case he/she will not be able to apply for the state or central gov. scholarships.
Campus Life
The college has a world class infrastructure and provides all the necessary facilities which a student needs in the college. All the classrooms, labs and workshops are fully air conditioned and have all the necessary equipments required for the students' course curriculum. The library is also a sizeable one, although there are restrictions on the timings and is open only till 8:00 p. m. There are many sports grounds for football, basketball and volleyball. The college has two canteens and a nescafe which are well maintained and hygienic with almost all the necessary foods and snacks. Wi-fi facility is not provided to whole college and is limited only for the hostels.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are really good and sizeable ones. There are 2 seater and 3 seater rooms with the option of Ac or Non-Ac. The rooms are well maintained and are provided with beds, chair and tables, and almiras. High speed Lan ports are provided for the students. Apart from this, wifi facility is also available for the students. The mess is also well hygienic and food is provided 3 times a day and, tea and snacks in the evening after the classes get over.
