Remarks
This is one of the best colleges of Gujarat. I has been ranked 7 under all the colleges of Gujarat Technological University. There are 7 courses of Engineering that are provided by this college. The Computer department is one of the new brances. It has been only 5-6 years of establishment of this branch but within this short span the department has made it's influence all over Gujarat. The on campus placements offered by this college is one of the best in the state.
Course Curriculum Overview
The courses are very well structured and are prescribed by Gujarat Technological University. The academic plan of college is quite impressive with all the necessary programs scheduled throughout the 4 years. The Computer department faculties start teaching from the second year and are very encouraging. The first year faculties are from Applied science and humanity department. They are quite strict about the attendance of students through the semester. The HOD of computer department Neha Ma'am is very much supportive to her students.
Placement Experience
Our college has a very well established training and placement cell. They schedule pre placement Interviews and group discussion sessions from the third year itself to make us prepared for various interviews. The expert talks from various industry experts are also arranged to help us prepare better for getting into the corporate world. The computer department placement ratio is very good in this college. Around 80% student sitting for placements get hired. TCS is most actively hiring the computer department students.
College Events
The campus has excellent campus life. The day starts with prayer session at 9:45 am and finishes by 4:30 pm. We have many fests throughout the year. We have spandan at first which is basically a series of competions on various extracurricular activities. Then we have Vision our Inter department fest with various techical and non technical activities. Then we have our annual day Malhar for cultural activities and award distribution ceremony of the year. And the biggest of all is out college National technical fest Prakash. Here many students from all over the country come to our college and participate in different events.
Hostel Facilities
There are no hostel facility offered. I stay at a PG in vasad City. It cost me rental of 5000/- but it doesn't include meal facilities. You will have to make separate arrangements for the meals. Me and my roommates have taken a gas connection and we cook individually.
