Remarks

Because kolkata was near my hometown it was just an overnight journey, and I was pursuing Chartered Accountancy Course so the studies were similar. Subjects that I read in Chartered Accountancy were more vastly covered so I didn't have a problem in studying for semester exams seperately. Also, there were many extracurricular activities and clubs in the college to provide a learning ground for everyone.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus of the course was not updated in every aspect in my opinion. And we didn't really get any industrial exposure as well. The faculties were good and helpful. Especially Mr. Vivek Patwari Sir. Students are fans of him.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities are not much for B.com Hons. Students. But still, there is a placement cell where students can apply. B.com only serves as a purpose for the students who are already involved in some other professional course or who are planning to study ahead like M.com MBA CA CS Etc.

College Events

Campus Life is good but not many people attend college regularly, if you have your squad, it can be a lot of fun. Extracurricular activities are awesome. And the annual fest UMANG is what everyone waits for.

Campus infrastructure is okayish. There are far better infrastructure and space in other colleges as well as some schools, to be honest. This one is located in the Heart of the town i.e Bhawanipur area. Therefore it makes up for it.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

I applied to scottish church, jaipuria college and goenka college of commerce Got confirmed from the first two but bhawanipur had the best discipline , teacherd and a smooth easy process and the best campus.it has a ragging free enviroment which is best for me . I applied only for besc and I entered I didn't use quota admission Minimum masks for entry be 65% in best of 4 for evening batch whereas 85% for morning batch (can be changed on the points of performance and talents) there is no age limit for entry The admission process was easy i.e fill out admission form online check name on the admission list released pay the admission fee + yearly fees submission of form in college health check up in college collect your Identification card and you are enrolled in bhawanipur education society college...Read More
