Highly reputed college, oldest commerce college in Asia, good faculty, top college in south Mumbai, hostel facilities, extra curricular activities, great alumni, fests. I took up BMS since the course is in high demand and offers specialisation.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty was extremely efficient and expert in their field. They devoted sufficient and required time to difficult topics and lectures were taken regularly. Even the visiting faculty was extremely good.
Internships Opportunities
No I did not avail any internship since I pursued a part time diploma course with NsE
Placement Experience
There were many companies that offered placement. Wipro, Birla, Salvage and Palmer, Godrej, Ernst and Young. There is an efficient system for placement and the placement faculty works very hard for it.
College Events
College has many fests like brouhaha, yountrè etc. safe to say, that many extra curricular activities are there. Students can take up leadership positions and learn various skills which will prove beneficial in future.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn’t avail any loan facility or scholarship. Neither am I aware of. But there could be scholarships for students of high calibre facing financial stress. There is also some quota reserved for Maharashtrians
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure was average. Since the college is in south Mumbai, there was no campus as such. But even if you compare, hardly any college in south Mumbai has good spacious and beautiful campus.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I opted for hostel, hostel was situated at a prime location right across marine drive. Our warden was strict but at same time she was compassionate and understanding and held meetings regularly with students to assess their problems.
