Remarks
I chose to study at NIT Raipur because of the placement and package statistics. About 60 % of the students in our branch get selected every year with a very good package. The main companies that recruit students from our college are Coal India Limited and Vedanta. Many companies even provide internships and pre-placement offers to students. After joining the college I came to know that the teachers are very supportive here and there is a coordial relationship between the seniors and junior students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is not up to date. It is outdated and the faculties only appreciate you if you score well. Academics is not worthy of a central college. Syllabus is really lengthy and it even has subjects that we don't find any relation to in our branch.
Placement Experience
Major recruiter for students of Mining Branch are Coal India Limited and Vedanta. Apart from them Tata visits every year and it even provides internships and pre-placement offers to our students. Students from our branch get placements in other streams as well. The training and placement cell of our college exceeds in that field.
College Events
Extra curricular activities are excellent at NIT Raipur. Campus life is interesting, every year several fests like AAVARTAN ( Tech fest. ), ECLECTIKA (cultural fest. ), sports fest. Etc are organized. Participation process is very convenient and is open for students of all colleges.
Campus Life
Wi-Fi connection is poor, lab-equipments are mostly ok, many of them are even outdated. The size of the library is moderate but it always has a shortage of books and the infrastructure of the college is below average.
