Remarks
Presidency University is highly reputed for the Economics Department for their notable alumnis including two nobel laureates in the field of Economics. As an economics aspirant, Presidency University is the best university to purse Economics in. Presidency University, Department of Economics hold a Summer School in Economics where notable alumnis and Professors from various reputed universities abroad come together for a conference. The department also holds a winter conference every year. Oikos, the economic society also brings in notable professors from other reputed universities for lectures addressing recent issues, organises debates on interesting agendas, interdepartmental quiz competitions and essay competitions.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course syllabus is pretty much smooth and updated. Industrial exposure isn't enough. Faculty is very helpful and concerned. The teaching methods are very up to date and commands rapt attention and it very much helps the students to understand.

College Events
Presidency University holds two major fests every year. They are held by the two most active student union in the university. Another major inter college fest is held by the respective student union in power.
Campus Life
There are facilities for most games like Table tennis, badminton, carrom and outdoor games like cricket, football, basketball and others. Interdepartmental matches are held. Every department has WiFi facilities for each student separately which they receive on their first day of admission. Each department has its own library and there's another central Library which has books of all subjects and another Arts library for courses on Arts. Labs are fully equipped and each department has their own labs.
