Anonymous's Review On BJB Autonomous College - [BJB], Bhubaneswar

Bjb is regarded as the best college in Odisha that provides intermediate as well as +2 courses with a very lower fee structure. It also provides for self-financing courses that too at very fewer fees. It has got the best faculties any institute could ever avail and the administration here works always to improvise the quality and participation of students in all-round activities may it be sports, dance, painting, etc. On a whole, the college offers a student the best he could expect with very few fees. Seminars are organized every Saturday for the betterment of students. The college has also got a new building which comprises rather more facilities than the older one. Although there isn't any hostel facility for boys except a hostel for sc&st students with very few seats which prove to be a serious problem for students coming from across all over Odisha. Yet the students union promptly helps the students, still hostel facility should be restarted soon.

I am availing intermediate course i.e. ug course with political science honors. The course provided by the college is set by the education department of Odisha. The course is up to the mark. The faculties though are excellent here, having some exceptions. Especially my department head Gyana Ranjan is very friendly and helpful We don't get inter-college interactions though. we are very limited to only our college.

We do not get any job opportunities merely after completing graduation. After completing graduation students here generally, opt for further studies like post-graduation and Bachelor's in education programmes.

Campus life here isn't very fascinating. In the absence of a student union, student participation in college is low. No events for the entertainment of students are organized in the college until this year only annual sports were organized after many requests to college authorities by the students. Extracurricular activities like dance, song, debate, and all are encouraged here. Also, students participate in inter college sports events.

Our college campus is divided into two blocks, an administrative block, and an art block. The administrative block compromises the science and commerce departments and the arts block compromises only arts block. This year a new 7-floor building was inaugurated by our college. Gradually all the art department of the college is being shifted over there. Our college has a basket ball court and very big parking, also a small garden in its front and a public park in its back. My college doesn't own ground of its own. A very big public ground is situated adjoining the college, and so the college shouts authority over it but also lets it for public use. There is a canteen within the campus.

Our college had a hostel until 2018. Now it has been demolished and the land is being used to construct a rather bigger hostel with more number of seats. Students here have to accommodate in private hostels situated near the college.
