Remarks

I chose this college based on my friend's reference and the one thing which I liked about this college is tat it is a women oriented college. They gave importance to girls education being as equal as the other gender

The course I opted was MSc chemistry.As per academics it is done systematically based on competitive exams like NET. The faculties are really good and informs about the updated version that is seen all around the worls

Yes we are sent for internships as part of the course .we were not provided with any stipend

Placement Experience

We have visited 5-6 companies during our study.They have offered 300000 per annum salary package for around 4-5 students. In the 4th sem we are sent to different companies for project work if they are satisfied from work that particular student is hired the next year

College Events

Every year our college conducts a cultural fest where almost 200+ college participate from different parts of the country. At the end of the day there will be a DJ organised by well known DJ artist.The fest include dance competition,singing competition, air craft etc

Campus infrastructure was very complex in terms of sports, library etc, It also provides other activities such as gymnastics, well equipped gym etc. The one thing that gains more attention is the library .Almost all books pertaining to our course was available here

excellent in acedimics

Course Curriculum Overview:

1.I was very much intrested to be a scientist when i choose biochemistry because its one of excellent bioscience subject to pursue the carrier as good scientist and complete the phd in bio science field 2.I would say for further acedmic carriculum like to pursue phd and to complete bioscience related competative examination will be clear by just following acedimics but am not saying it will prepare for you to a real world . 3.teaching methods is excellent as i mentioned earlier but problem is they only stick to acedmics apart from that they didnt prepare for real world problem job getting moto that is problem 4.exams level of difficulty is mediatory not high or not low as of my knowledge but other say it very difficult exams nobody able to score more than 70%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

My Experience: The good and the Bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Our college provide very fantastic placements , in every year they invited two or three companies in our college to get placements us.In last semester the students are eligible for for campus placements.Shilpa biological industry, biocon industry both company are offered the placement in last year. they told they provide highest packages 800000 rupees per year and averages 400000 per year . In our department , 2 to 3 students are getting palcements. after i completed my degree , i want to research so i admitted in phd programmes.

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.

They provide good curriculum and better syllubus which covers most of the geology and oceanography topics especially physical and chemical oceanography, climatology, hydro geology and other topics but practically they seems little back they doesn't provide new instruments for surveying and oceanography they still following old techniques which is not relevantly used in this time

I chose this college with the reference from my parents and friends. I didn't apply to any other college and i chose this because one thing it's a girls college. As a co-ed student I wanted to experience a girls college vibe. There's no writing exams to get admission into this college the first thing. I applied for this college only by filling the admission form and then i got a call by the college office staff and then when i came to college one of the teacher suggested me the course and I paid for that course. My college life in Jyoti Nivas College

To be honest, JNC was the only college I applied to when I came to Bangalore. I initially thought of applying for christ university but by the time I approached them, the admission process was already over. I'm glad the courses start a little late at jnc as compared to other colleges. In jnc, the admission process involves two major processes right after you graduate. You need to go for a walk in interview in the campus, however for me, i requested for an online interview as I was not able to be physically present. They accepted my request and an online exam was held specially for me. Roopa ma'am was the one to send me the set of questions and the one who evaluated me.
