Dynamic growth.

Since it was the beginning management made a great start things could have been better In terms of student participation more eligible and deserving faculty could have been enrolled in the college instead of giving preference and imp to blood relations.

I joined this college in 1999 after clearing the MP PET exam. College has just opened that year and was a new entrant. It was a sister concern of BIT College which was a well established and well known college. And the professors and lecturers of BIT were to be shared with SSCET. My marks didnt allow me a seat in BIT so I chose SSCET. And I never regret joining it for the coming years. I wanted to pursue Comp Science and got the branch of my choice in SSCET.

Course curriculum was designed well only grudge that I have till date is that for Comp Science batch the Software language taught was C++ and Visual Basic instead of JAVA in 6th/7th Semester. Electronic and Telecomm batch was though taught JAVA.

As we were the first batch, I had to look for internship on my own based on my personal contacts and there was no stipend paid during the training. But now I am sure things would have changed.

Placement and Job opportunities that came our way during those times were not many though we had Tata Engg and some call centers coming over to our college for selection. This gave us a good experience of going through the selection and elimination process.

I had participated in a event where we had to give technical presentation on the current topic of my choice. Then there was annual functions where students were facilitated and there were cultural events in which we participated.

Fee structure is feasible if u r on merit list not sure though for admission through donations It was not expensive there was no undue demands for money at any time.

I am not aware of any such facility not sure if there was any as we were the first batch of the college.

Campus life was good bt not that great that time not many sports event for girls were there which I though should have been there, since those were the starting days for the college. There were few cultural events and also outings planned could have been more and better.Initially in our first year we used to go to BIT college for our mechanical labs and all.

Hostel in college campus during my time was not ready and was under construction so college had rented out bungalows in nehru nagar area of Bhilai. There were 3-4 of such bungalows which were the hostels but by the time I passed out hostel was ready and functional within the college premises.

Since we were the first batch of the college so alumni was not there now they have a good alumni network and interaction as well wherever we needed help or guidance from the seniors we had approach to the senior students from BIT college.

Exams were chilled out. We were affiliated with Ravi Shankar Shukla University Raipur and we used to get almost 1 week gaps between the each subject during semester exams this time was enough for relaxing after completing day's exam and then completely revising the next subject for the coming one.Even practicals were chilled out and there was no undue pressure.

Faculty was excellent with no exaggeration and we also had guest lectures from HoDs of BIT college so we had best of both the world. Our HoDs were also quite experienced and knowledgeable and always there to help.
