IBS HYDERBAD REVIEW FROM A ALUMNI

IBS is a good college and has plenty to offer, depends on how an individual utilises it. The library has innumerable books, research papers, journals and records. The management is decent. The rules are moderate.

There are 4 sems, and before the end of every Sem, there is written exams. Case study based teaching for every subject, wherein there are new case studies every week, which will be discussed and debated in class for which points are allotted as Class participation. The curriculum and exam structure is good and fair. With research projects and everything.

Placement drive is alright in the college. They do try placing every student in a firm and work towards that goal. There are more than 400 companies that visit the campus from the month of OCTOBER. For placement, there are different companies that come to campus. JPMC, Bank of America, ICICI Bank, CBRE, JLL, HDFC, DeShaw to name a few. They do try their best in bringing companies from every specialisation. Almost 80pc students are placed. There are special sessions provided for placements.

Trishna is the annual fest, which is an inter college and goes on for a week. AAVEG is the annual sports festival which goes on for 3 days and is inter college fest. Apart from these, there are several technical and management fests which are held every year by different clubs.

The fee structure is expensive as far as MBA is concerned. Especially in Hyderabad amongst the other branches of IBS. No additional fees/charges to be paid in order to secure admission. admission is on merit. And there is transparency in the fee-breakdown.

I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan. Though scholarship of a lakh is given to students who score a 10cgpa in semesters.

The IBS CAMPUS itself is a beautiful spread over acres. With lush greenery all over. The gender ratio is also good. There are lotta events which keeps happening every single day. There are fests, quizzes, workshops, club activities, freshers, prom parties. Students from communities and all festivals are celebrated in the college with the participation of all. Complete liberal and peace. As part of the festival celebration, there is fund allocation by the management( a portion of it) rest raised by students and programs are arranged. Students come from all over India. IBS- is a mini India altogether.

Yes, The single room provided with attached balcony and study table. Common washrooms in every wing, with attached washing machine, lifts, water dispensers in every floor. Cleaning is done regularly twice. Proper hygiene. Salon and cafe inside the hostel.

Alumni network is pretty strong with Alumni meet annually held twice. One in the campus and one in a hotel. Alumni's are responsive and helpful

There was an entrance exam named IBSAT which is conducted online and on after clearing that, GD and PI in the main campus in given dates. The details for entrance exams are given on their site. There is a registration fee of 1200/- to be paid as well.

All the lecturers are PhD holders, some with academic experience for years and others with relevant industry-experience as well. I've been taught by 12+ teachers in 4 semesters. All a master in their subject with sufficient knowledge. Most faculty also, publish research papers and teach well, clear all doubts and also provide extra material in topics of interest. Approachable faculty.
